Discovering good food means burning a few loaves of bread. To be honest I am including the packaged garlic loaves found in the freezer section of the local grocery store. I am not a trained chef coming out of Culinary Institute of America or Le Cordon Bleu. I began to cook out of survival mode. I started with my burnt version of lasagna and progressed to attending a knife skills class at Southern Seasons. It should be noted this place is a must stop for anyone with culinary ambition or if you love cheese straws. Beyond that learning how to hold a knife in my hand and not slicing my finger off was top of the priority list. Images of my 5'4 body sprawled out on the kitchen floor aside, this blog is for those who want to cook and create but never thought they possessed the attitude to try. If I can go from burning bread to creating good simple food, then you too can Become a CONFIDENT COOK. Happy Cooking!
